Tryouts

Anyone who is interested in playing for FC Highland in the 2023/24 season. All current players must try out if they wish to play next season.

Tryouts will be held at the FC Highland Soccer Fields located at Trotters Park, 2627-,2789 Lee Rd, Orlando, FL 32810. There are four tryout dates and the time to attend depends on your birth year. Session 1 for younger players will run 5-6.30pm, session 2 will run 6.30-8pm. Times will be confirmed closer to the time.  

You cannot wear your FC Highland training kit so we suggest wearing your favorite team’s soccer jersey or any other training appropriate apparel, shin pads and footwear (soccer cleats). Also bring lots of water.

Yes! Tryouts are free. 

No, we have multiple levels of teams and we encourage everyone to come to tryouts.

Let your coach know during tryouts about your previous playing experience.

Yes, at present- everyone who is interested in playing for the club next year needs to register and attend tryouts. 

At tryouts, you will practice with other trialists your age and your potential coach. This will be a standard practice session so you can get an idea of what they are like.

After tryouts, selected players will have a set amount of time to accept their team placements. Placements will be communicated to the players within one day of the last tryout date.

We advise trialists to attend at least 2 sessions to give our coaches the chance to evaluate them fully,  but you are welcome to attend as many sessions as you can.

We will contact you within 1 day of the last tryout date with information on team placement.

Yes, if you can’t make it to any of our tryout dates, we can set up an individual evaluation with your prospective coach. Please email: mdixon@fchighland.com

• Log back into your GotSport account. Check that your primary email address is correct, as well as seeing any programs you are registered to. If your primary email address is correct but you can’t see your registration on your player account, please go through the registration process again.
• If this still does not work, please email us with your player(s) full name and we will search the registrations from our end and take it from there.
